Something has went wrong here. I am not sure what has happened. I do not have a lot on my mind about being Mayor. I think I could bring a lot to the table. I would help make the cities largest Ice cream sundae. Wait somebody has beat me to that. I would not steal money from people . I think you have to be able to do that and some how get away with it. I could probably find someone help pick up a few signs, I don't like. We would have to pick these signs up after everybody has gone to bed. I really do have the right to take these signs . That is why I waited until 1:00 AM to come get them. That is what i would tell the cops if i got caught. Wait, that has been done also . I could loose my rights to practice law and run for mayor and win. Wait , that has been done also. I really don't have the right to practice law. I really can not be Mayor because I live in the county. Hey, maybe I could get them to put my house in the city long enough to allow me to run for Mayor. I think that has been done also. I think I will stick with living in the county and enjoy not messing with things like voting for Mayor. The MAYOR has done some good things for the town. I really can not say he has done a bad job. I think I want to be VICE - Mayor of the county division. Yes ,Vice Mayor of the county division. Vote Dolan 2010 Vice -Mayor of the county division. Thanks In advance for your vote.

Marriage

I am by no means a pro when it comes to marriage. However, I have been married for fourteen years and never once thought about leaving my wife. I believe you have to completely give yourself to your husband or wife to be happy. Sounds pretty easy at this point. What I mean by the last statement you must love them as much as you love yourself. You must stop and think about your actions and words. Ask yourself is this how I would like to be treated or the words I would like to hear at this time? Now it's getting a little tougher. You must make sacrifices such as giving up things you want so that you can show your husband or wife that you really do care about what they want. Never ask them do something you wouldn't do yourself. A happy marriage can not be about one or the other. It has to be about two people whiling to give their all to each other. If any of this sounds familiar , maybe you read something close to this in your bible. God said women submit to your husbands and husbands love your wife as CHRIST loved the church. Husbands love your wife as you love yourself, because their is no man who truly hates himself. I would say that statement is also true for women. We as men can not be to proud to help around the house. We must always make time for each other. A nice dinner ,a trip to the park or something for the two of you together. When we do help around the house we should not be looking for something in return or bring attention to what we have done. Yet again something I read in the Bible. When we do good works we should not make it about us. We should do good works because my bible says that pleases GOD and we should do good works out of love for the person we are helping. If you completely give your life to God the rest will fall in place. We will face trials along the way but with God on your side you will win. God will never fail or forsake you( something I read in the bible). Has there ever been a argument that has truly helped anything in marriage. It is a lot easier to just agree to disagree and move on. A gentle word turns away wrath, but harsh words can stir up anger( something from the bible). Who ever walks with the wise will become wise. Those who walk with God are walking the right path. I will be praying for all of you who are going through tough times right now. If both parties involved will set and read their bible they will find a answer. It may not be the one you are looking for but it will be the right one. I hope this can help somebody. I know through God all things are possible

How do you know when enough is enough . It is getting pretty close to being enough . I am so tired of our government taking from the working people . I do not mind helping people that want to be helped and try to help themselves . What in the world is going on in this country ? There is people buying in to all this garbage . Here is just a few things i have heard in the past week .I make more drawing unemployment, i draw more on mental disability than i would if i was making 8.50 a hour " so why work " , i have four kids i can not afford to work , i do not want to get married i will keep living with him because if we get married they will take our welfare check , i hear people that actually agrees with " What is our presidents name " and his new insurance garbage . We are ready pay for those people who do not have insurance and it is called the ER . You can not be refused service at the ER .

My heart goes out to those that have lost their job . I know unemployment helps a lot of people . I am just saying that our government is already taking enough from the working people . They make it to easy for people to get on disability . So now they want to take more from us now . I hope this is not taking in the wrong way . I do not mind helping people at all that is what God's word tells us to do . There is to many people sitting out there that could be working but will not because our government makes it easy to stay at home . Before this president is done he will have convinced everybody to send their checks to him and he will give us what he wants and i believe there is people out there that would do that .

I would like to say that i do not disagree with everything our president has done and is doing . He is our president " i did not choose him " . He is doing some good things . There were some things Bush done that i did not agree with .

I can not say enough good things about this guy . He Is a devoted christian ,deacon , Sunday school teacher , Asst . Superintendent at Greenwood , wonderful father of four , and I am sure his wife would say he is a wonderful husband . Every time you see him he his smiling he Is always willing to help others . God really blessed our class when John decided to teach our class . He has been a blessing to me and my family . You could not find a better group of kids . All four of his kids are well mannered and good listeners . I enjoy playing around and picking on the kids . Conner is going to be a awesome turkey hunter some day . Next year he is going to show me how it is done .I do not know if John ever has a bad day . I am sure he does but he does not allow it to affect how he treats others . John thank you for your leadership and your friendship . I am sure everybody in our class would agree when i say we are blessed to have you as a teacher and friend .I have always heard that behind every good man there is a good women . I would have to agree with that statement . Angel thank you for all that you do .

Tim is our on staff Pro Football Player . Yes , pro football !!!!!!! He even had knee surgery .He done what the rest of us wanted to do but we decided we are to OLD . He works at Baldor as a electrical engineer . He has two little girls and Amy is his wife . Amy is a school teacher . Tim is a great guy . He is a christian who still has fun . I might add he is the best equipment manager I have ever seen on the Kickball Circuit .He has to be the best because he would have been the busiest guy last night .The men was dropping like bombs in the middle of a war . Tim thank you and your family for your friendship we are blessed to have you guys as friends and classmates .

Doug Is one of those guy you will remember the rest of your life . He is a outstanding father ,christian , and farmer . I am not real sure how long Doug and his wife Ann have been attending our Sunday School class but we all are blessed to have them in our class . Doug has two boys .You know it is a lot of work being a farmer . There are those farmers who pay people to do the work and then there are farmers like Doug and his family who does the work themselves .DOUG IS A AWESOME BASKETBALL PLAYER ! Scott and his wife Allison are both Prosecuting Attorneys . They have one little boy named Hunter . Scott and myself along with several others started working out at the church . You can really get to know a lot about a guy at 5:oo am . Scott also attends our Sunday School class .Here is a guy that you can tell loves the Lord and has put time in studying his word . Scott is one of those guys that Is just fun to hang out with . Scott and Allison will be adding a new addition to their family 8/01 / 09 . They are having a little boy . Congratulation Guys !!!!! Jessie is a member of First Baptist Greenwood. He is married to Michelle and they have two girls. He is also the planner of all of our life group fellowships. That has to be a tough job. Dena and I can barely decided what we are going to have for supper. I can't imagine having to plan something for a whole group. He always does a great job and we thank him for all that he does. I'm sure Michelle helps him with the planning, so thank you Michelle.

We were both new to the church and meet in our life group. I got to know him and we started talking about our house and how we had built it ourselves. He told me that him and Michelle were thinking about doing the same so we talked about it and he decided to do the same. I feel like both of us were put in this life group for a reason. Since then when have become really good friends. Thanks Jessie for your friendship.

Jeb is a true friend . I have known this guy for a long time . I would do anything for him and i believe he would do the same for me . I even lived with him for awhile .This is a guy that would help anybody . I believe he puts himself last on things to take care of . Jeb is a member of the Air Force , attends First Baptist Greenwood (serves anywhere he is needed ) , father of two ( 1 boy and one girl ) , and married to his high school sweet heart . Jeb will be leaving to serve our country on June 13 . He will be missed by his friends and family . I hope that Shelli knows she can call on Dena or myself for anything . I know this is going to be tough on both Jeb and his family . I heart and prayers go out for them . Like Jeb always tells me , GOD will never give me more than I can Handel . What a great attitude!!!!!!Thanks for the Friendship!!!

When I grow up I want to be just like Phillip Darr . This guy is the same every time you see him. I know his family went through some tough times but you could not tell it by talking to him . Let me tell you if you do not know Phillip you are missing out . This guy is a christian , great family man , and on top of that he is funny . Just a little side note Phillip went to a Cards game for his birthday and almost did not make it back . The Cards Management seen his picture on Facbook and thought he looked like a natural and was trying to sign him while he was there . He decided to return Greenwood . Thanks Phillip !

3 Day Weekend

I sure enjoy the three day weekends but it makes it tough to go back to work on Tuesday . It would be really cool if i had one of those jobs that work four on and three off . I could work four tens so that I could have a three day weekend every week . It would be nice to do like some people and have the whole summer off . I would not know what to do with all the free time . Let me think about that !!!!!!!!!?????????? I would swim with the girls , go to the park with the girls , play In the sand with the girls , and do a lot of fishing . Yeah , I could deal with that .

Our Military

I would like to say Thank you to all our Military . You guys do a wonderful job . You do not receive the respect you deserve . There is no job more important than the other . We need all of you to make it work . Keep up the good work and thank for the freedom we have today .

I say all these good things about our Military because i believe they are doing a great job . I am worried about the Commander and Chief . I am not real sure about all His idea's . I do agree with some of his idea's . I hope and pray he does not take from our military to save money . I believe if you really want to grow in Gods word you need to be in a " Life Group " . You have that one on one we all need . It is nice to have someone who can help you with your questions at that time . I can not say enough good things about John and Angel . We have a really great group of people .

A Day To Relax

I got off work and met my Pop @ Walters Law Firm and picked up Allie and we went fishing . We have a friend who has a really nice stock pond . I seen a chance to spend some time with my Pop and Allie and jumped at this chance . We had a really good time ! Then we got home and just hung out . Monday was a pretty good day . I will be glad when the forty days of rain has come to pass . I mean enough Is enough !

Did anybody read the Greenwood Democrat this week ? I read about what a great job Jeb 's mayor was doing . I have tried to see the good In this guy but I keep thinking about all the trouble he has got himself Into and out of without much of a blemish . I know if I lived In the city limits i would be asking why Is car Is not tagged In the state he lives in , I would ask about the old lady that he took money from , why would you steal a sign , and why did he lose his car. It seems to me this guy has a problem with managing money and he does not mind breaking the law to get what he wants . He has made the town of Greenwood look bad more than one time . I can not understand why people keep wanting to defend this guy . I know there will be a day we all have to answer for the the things we have done here on earth . I guess I am a little old school . I like the good old days when a guys word was worth a lot , a hand shake was as good as a contract , and the guy we had running our town was honest and did his best to better Greenwood .

P90x 1 and Jackie 0 . I have injured myself doing this workout . I guess i should say re injured my hip and maybe my back . I am taking a steroid pack for six days to see if that will fix the problem . This stinks !!!!!!!! I hate that I had to drop out . I feel like I have let myself and the guys down . I have a family to feed and bills to pay so I have to do what Is best for my body . I can make this statement with confidence " as soon as the doctors release me I will be back and giving 100% " . Someday I will realize I can not do the things i used to do . I look at it this way , If you are going to do something be sure and give it your all .

Well , I got up this morning wrote on my blog and went to the church and did P90X . I came home and did a little turkey hunting and then decided I would go over to my uncle's and do a little more hunting . I jumped in my truck turned the key and nothing happened . You guessed It ,the battery Is dead . I am setting here writing this blog and waiting for the battery to charge so I can continue my hunting . What a beautiful day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can not beat a 45 degree day and drizzle for turkey hunting . HA ! HA ! I hope this week does not continue the way It has started . I think I am going to go and have a biscuit and gravy . What A Day

We started the day off by sleeping to long . Allie woke and started wondering why the Easter Bunny did not leave her anything . After that was over we realized all of our new cloths fit except Keelie's . It was on a hanger marked 2T and it is a 12 month . After getting Dena past that we were running a little late and then Dena said she was not going to sign in the choir . I told her i would finish getting Keelie ready and we would meet her at church . Then the nice cold rainy day and the kids not getting to hunt Easter eggs . Then we were getting ready to leave and i heard a gun shot from my neighbors house . When we finished getting ready i decided to stop by and see what he had shot . It was Dena's turkey i have been taking pictures of and feeding for the past two months . The turkey had a ten inch beard . I was a little disappointed by this and was not paying attention to what i was doing and backed into one of his trees and damaged the rear of Dena's car . It also knocked the tree over . So, now i have to go over and cut the tree up and get it out of his way . This has been a tough day and i am glad it is all over with . I am trying to stay positive but that is easier said than done . The good news is that we are serving a risen God and everybody in the family is healthy . I know there are people that have it worst than me everyday . I hope everybody had a better day than I !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was not all bad . Dena's wonderful grandmother fixed turkey and dressing for lunch . We went home took a nap . Then we all just hung out and played .

Easter Sunday

There is a lot more to Easter Sunday than getting new cloths ,hiding eggs, and eating lunch with your family after church . Easter Sunday is not about the Easter Bunny it is All about the RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST . I pray for all who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus . This is the only way to get to Heaven ! Being the best person in the world and giving everything you can will not get you to Heaven . This world is dieing fast ! Jesus gave is life so that we all would have the opportunity to get to Heaven . You can not do that without accepting him into your life . When you accept Jesus into your life , life does not end a better life just began . Yes , there are things you will not want to do anymore but there are better things waiting for you if you serve Jesus . It just floors me when i think that Jesus died on that cross for me . Can you imagine if someone walked up to you and told you they would die for you so that you would have a better life ( and they did ) ? I bet you would feel like you owed that person for the rest of your life . That is exactly what Jesus did . I pray there is just one person out there that might read this and at least come visit church or just ask someone about Jesus . Lives are still being saved !!!!!!!!!!!!

The Winters

I would like to thank the Winters for tackling the job of planning fellowships for our Sunday School Class . They do a wonderful job and i know for sure i do not Thank them enough . I can not imagine trying to schedule these events around everybody's schedules . That would be tough ! We had a wonderful time at the picnic . I wish everyone could have made it . Again , i want to give a Big Thank You to the Winters for planning all our little get togethers . You guys are a blesssing !

Hunting

Dena and I went turkey hunting this morning . This was a lot of fun for me . We did not have any luck . We did see one long beard but a little out of Dena's rang .We had several hens come within ten yards and hung out for about ten minutes . We heard about ten gobbles . Dena went back by herself and heard another gobble . This was a lot of fun for me because as most of you know i love to go hunting so you can only imagine how much fun it was to go with the one that i love . I believe Dena had a good time after she thawed out . We just sat there and enjoyed all of God's creations . We are really blessed to have Dena parent's be so willing to help us . Nita got up and watched the girls while we went hunting . I want to thank them for all they do . I will post the pictures when she gets one .

Not a whole lot has been going on so that leaves me with nothing to write about . The kids are acting like kids and Dena is being her sweet little self . Other than a little pink eye everybody has been doing well . I know the allergy season is not here yet but normally with the weather we have been having it messes with somebody's allergy's . We have been really blessed this year . God has really pleased our family , knock on wood Dena or my job does not seem to be in any kinda trouble . I am so thankful each and every day that i have a job to wake up to each and every morning . I hope everybody has a great week and enjoy the spring break . Tell somebody how God has blessed you, that might be what they need to hear . God is still in the business of saving lives .

Spring Break

Do you remember growing up and how there were certain times you always looked forward to ? I remember spring break because it was the time of year we always would go camping . I remember my grandpa getting the tent and the fishing poles ready each year . Can you imagine if life was still that simple ? If we did not think we had to go some place far off each break or had to stay at the nicest hotel or if you actually got to rest on your break . Would it not be nice just to take one break where you got to hang out and enjoy life with your family ? I think we all bring a little of the fast pace life we live in on our selves . Do we really need to run all over the country to say we lived a good life . My answer is No !

I am not saying that a family vacation is not nice . I enjoy a good family vacation . I am saying just because the kids are out of school does not mean we have to go on a vacation . My personal experience with a vacation is that you run crazy on vacation and you come home more tired than you were when you left . I can not tell you how many times I have heard someone say i can not wait to get back to work so i can rest . Take time and enjoy life .

I am not real sure what to write about . After we are done with P90X i am empty . I have nothing on my mind besides rest . P90X is a lot of fun and i enjoy doing the work out each morning . I already get up at 4:00 AM and head to church and i can not make my self get up any earlier than that . We have added a few people this week so feel free to come join us for P90x IT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL A LOT BETTER . I want to thank all the guys who get up each morning and come down and go through this me .

Can you believe the weather we had this weekend ? Can you believe the weather we are going to have this week ? Sure is nice to live in Arkansas where if you do not like the weather just wait a day . Dena and I took the girls to the park Saturday before the basketball game . It is amazing how nice weather seems to put a smile on everybody face . We had a good time just taking a break from the fast pace world we live in and spending time with the girls . I wish we could do this every weekend i really enjoy just hanging out and not having to worry where you have to go next .

Then i found out that my wife payed for one of his haircuts . Then i heard them talking on the phone the other day . I guess p 90 x is not working on me like it is on Jeb . I guess that is why we had to go on this marriage retreat this weekend . Jessi better watch out because Shell may have been talking to Jeb also . Hey , after i seen his picture on his blog after p 90 x it makes me want to be like Jeb . Great Picture Jeb ! I hope nobody takes any of this serious , because i am just messing with Jeb . I just finished the ab ripper X . I am about to die now but i think it will pay off in 90 days . I really enjoy this work out . I think that we all agree that just after one week we all have more energy . I have been following the diet and lost about a 1/2" off my waist in one week . This is not a easy work out ,this is one that really makes you work ( and cry sometimes ) . We are still doing it every morning at the ROC AT 5:00 .IF YOU WANT TO GET IN SHAPE AND FEEL BETTER WE WILL SEE YOU IN THE MORNING . I want to thank Jeb , Scott, Brother Ronnie , and Nelson for doing this with me . It is always better when you have friends to do it with .

What A Weekend

Dena and i went to DRY GULCH USA this weekend . The Winters also went to this . Jessi is the one who told us about this retreat . This was a marriage retreat where we renewed our vows . We got to play all the video games we wanted , ride go carts , horse back riding (if you wanted to) , and a wagon ride . There was more than enough food to eat . We had steak Friday and Saturday . We had Mexican for lunch on Saturday . Great breakfast buffet . We had movies both nights . Then came the big show on Saturday Night we men dressed up the best that we could and the ladies put on their finest dresses and we took a carriage ride to the church where we renewed our wedding vows . This was a great time and we will do this again next year . This is something i think everybody would enjoy . I know the four of us had a great time . We did not get to do much outside activities because of all the snow but we had a great time .

We have only done it for a couple of days and i already feel like i have more energy . Once i get past all the little and big aches it seems wirth it . I guess we will all see in 90 days ! Who is the greatest QB of all time ? Joe Montana is my pick ! I believe him and John Elway were real close . Then we have to mention Dan Marino and Jim Kelly . How about Johnny U and Troy ?

Please , do not suggest Brett Farve in the top 5 or even close . This guy leads the NFL in INT'S . I think he took way to many chances when all he had to do was toss the ball out of bounds . Then last year with all that junk about how he was going to retire . If he would have done what the greats done and just simply say thank you and walk away . That is how you know you have something special when you can look at yourself and say " i have lost a little and it is time for me to move on " .

I get tired of hearing all these guys say " i done " and then a couple of weeks later they are with another team . I wish they would just tell the truth and say i am not sure and move on . I also wish a contract was still a contract . If you sign a deal for 5 mil a year that should be what you receive each year for 5 years . None of this going and asking for more money because you had a few good years . Signed contract should be exactly that . I feel so bad for the players who says we ONLY made a couple of million last year . When i hear this i automatically stop and say a little pray for them and hope they can make ends meet . No, I am just kidding !!!!!!!!

It just amazes how different two kids can be . They even came from the same parents . Allie and keelie are as different as March and October . Allie being like October calm , peaceful , and easy going . Keelie being like the March winds , not sure what you are going to get from day to day . I enjoy both of my girls they are a lot of fun . Keelie must have taken after her dad because i can not see Dena being that way . Yeah , i know it is hard to believe that i could have been a mean little kid . Like i said , i enjoy both of them and thank God for them everyday before i leave the house . Kids are a gift from God !! I have less hair now that i have kids . Take the time to enjoy your kids why they are little . There will be a day when they think hanging out with you is not so cool . I know it can be tough if this mach ten world we are leaving in .

Camping Trip

Tuff Times

We all know someone who has lost their job or someone who is sick . I do not understand why things like this must happen . We as Christians must keep the faith and not question Gods plan . This is easier said than done . It kills me when i hear of a kid with cancer or some other type of illness . I hate to hear of people losing their job .

Here is my thoughts ! I am very thankful for my families health ( i know that could change any day ). I very thankful that i still have a job ( i also know this could change any day ) . I pray that neither one of these change . I also know that Jesus died on the cross for my sins so that i could have eternal life . That is what we must stay focused on . Again , easier said than done . I have not been put in any of these positions and i start each and every day by thanking God for my families health and my job . I believe health of our youngsters and jobs are heavy on all our hearts . So please continue to pray for everybody's health and their jobs . My kids and wife's health is the most important thing to me .

I sure hope our new president can change this steady down fall we are in . I really do not see anything changing soon . We bailed out people who already showed they do not know how to run their business . They continue to hand out big bonuses . We the working people are paying for the big bail outs . Our leaders refuse to let the rich feel what it is like to lose their job and wonder what they are going to do to make ends meet . So , the GOVERNMENT decides lets take from the working people to make sure that the rich stays rich . Yeah , that sounds like a great plan . I bet some factory worker probably came up with that plan . What , you do not believe that ? Whether we want to admit it or not we are living in a socialist country . I believe the bail out is all the proof we need . Take from the working class to make sure the rich does not lose anything . I do not see are Government taking from the rich to help the working class people who lost their jobs . Are they bailing out all the little business's who are closing their doors . As Bill Jordan ( The Realtree Guy) says the proof is in the pudding . To me the bail out is the truth . I have lost all faith in our government no matter what party is in their . Our government needs a complete overhaul . Maybe our new president can make a change .

Long Time

I have been busy with OSB and have not made the time to write anything . I am going to try and get started on a regular schedule next week . I just want to let everybody know what a great blessing the OSB was . There was 50 people saved that night and another 13 ask for more information . This is awesome news !! We were unsure of how many people we would reach . God really blessed this event and we can not take credit for the people who's lives were touched this was all his work . What a great God we are serving !!! If you reading this and do not have a personal relationship with Christ you are missing out . If you are interested in coming to church we have three services @ FBC of Greenwood we are across from farmers bank . The services are @ 8:00 , 9: 15 , and 10:45 . We would love to have you .

I know a couple of people who got new cameras and probably out taking pictures of all the snow and ice . This weather makes hard to drive but does make for some really cool pictures . I have not got out and taken any pictures but i do plan on taking some today .

I would love to be somewhere that had a huge waterfall . That would make for a wonderful picture . I would also like to get a picture of some wildlife out moving around in this . I thought about getting a picture of the girls but i decided that it was way to cold . Bill Walters has a awesome log cabin up at White Rock that has water falls all around it . That would make a really cool picture . Teachers enjoy your days off !!!!

Can you believe this weather ? I really do not like the ice . I like the snow ! The ice has broke a few of my tree limbs and we were without power Monday night and part of Tuesday .

I was thinking of Phillip ,Mike and their families . Mike has a big hill to go down and stop before he goes into traffic on 71 hwy . Mike can go a different way that is not as bad . Now , poor Phillip sitting at the top of Greenwood with the beautiful view ,warm house , plenty to eat and his family are just stuck . I would not want to try to make it down that hill today . I would just have to stay at home . I know no one likes missing work . The kids are out of school and the wife does not have to work . This sounds like Phillip may have a chance to just sit back and relax with his family .

My wife is not lucky enough to miss work today . They still have to work on the bad weather days like the rest of the working world . She does not mind . Troy has a steep driveway , i would not want to go down in weather like this . Dena said he may have parked at the bottom so he could get out this morning . Hey , i wounder if Phillip parked at the bottom of his hill so he could get out . I mean it is only a 1/2 mile all up hill to his house . I am going to go check and see if Phillips car is at the bottom of the hill .

Let me tip my hat to Doug and his family . They do not get to miss work in weather like this . They have to get out in this and feed their animals and make sure the water is not frozen . Make sure one of the cows has not had a calf . It always seems to happen in bad weather . Farming can be a tough job and my hat is off to all of the fine people who are farmers . I also want to thank Doug and his family for the beef they donated to the church . I know they did not do this to recognized . I know they done that because they wanted to help . We are blessed to have them in our Sunday School class .

I know i write about this all the time but i really feel blessed for everybody in our class . You hear of people leaving a class for one reason or another but that is not the case with our class . We have a great group of people and who are eager to learn about God and a teacher who wants to teach . When all the serious things are taken care of we enjoy having fun with one another . If somebody is reading this and does not attend church we would love to have you at First Baptist Church of Greenwood we have three services 8:00 , 9:15 , and 10:45 . Hope to see you all Sunday !!

Skating

One of Allie's friends had a birthday party at Jacks Skating this weekend . Allie had a hard time figuring out how to skate . So i went and got me a pair of skates so i could go out and help her . I forgot how much fun you can have skating . The next thing i know Dena is putting on her skates . Then the DJ started playing some music from the 80's . It just made me look back and think about the old Skating place we had here in Greenwood . Dena and i also made a couple of laps together, made me feel young again ( until i took the skates off ) .

We really need slow down and enjoy our kids because we do not know what next day will bring . I am just heart broken everytime i hear about a kid getting sick . I do not understand why kids have to get sick . It is not my job to understand it is just my job to obey and believe the word of God . Please remember say a prayer for all our kids .

We had a good year in 2008 i hope nothing changes in 2009 . We started the lead slingers deer camp . We started with about 14 people or close to that . I believe everybody had a good time . I believe we will have more next year . I hope we kill a few more deer next year . We are thinking about moving the camp to Muddy Creek . If anybody knows a hot spot please let us in .

Our Sunday School Class grew . I do not remember anybody being real sick . Tim and Amy has a new family member . John and his mean side kick came over to teach our class . (You know John payed me to say that ) . Thanks for the 20 dollars John !! God has really blessed all of us . Good things happen to good people .

I want to thank The Darr Family for opening their house on Sunday nights . I really feel like everybody is growing a little closer . There has not been anybody upset at on another . It always seems we are there for one another . Normally when you get a big group together there is somebody who gets their feelings hurt and gets mad . I have not heard any of this in our class . That just speaks volume for the people in our class and tells me we are all focused on what God wants us to do . I would like to thank everybody in our class for their friendship . We really are blessed with a great group of people . Hey , Phillip i will try to get out of there before 7:30 this week . I think i seen you yawning a couple of times the other night . I took the hint !!

Does anybody think he will get in any trouble for taking the signs ? I do not believe so ! I will say this about the guy , he knows how to talk his way out of trouble . I want to tip my hat to the officer who caught him . I can only imagine how that conversation went . Here is how i think it went down .

OFFICER: Good morning mayor

MAYOR : I just wanted to get a early start

OFFICER : Why are you out taking these signs in this people's yards ?

Mayor: Well , can i get back with you ?

OFFICER: No , i am going to have to call another officer

Mayor : now , now There will be no need for that i am the mayor and i have broken the law before and got away with it so you know you are wasting your time .Plus , i have the right as mayor to be out here moving these signs .

Officer : Why would you be out here @ 2: 00 AM taking signs ? Why not wait until regular working hours ?

Mayor : You are going to regret this !!

I am not sure how the whole thing went down but that is kinda how i have it pictured in my mind . I would like to tip my hat one more time to the officer who did not back down because he was mayor . Look in John's yard the next election( Husband of Dena Dolan For Mayor) . I think that would be better than saying Jackie Dolan . I might not get any votes if i used my name . I probably would not vote for myself .

What A Week

Man can you believe it is already Friday ? It seems like this week just flew by . Monday was kinda slow and after that it was like a F-16 in war . Well, maybe not that fast but still pretty fast . The sad part about that is the weekend will go by even faster . I hope everybody had a good week .

I do want to mention that there was a young man ask Jesus to be the boss of his life Wednesday night at Kid mo . That is exciting as it gets !!!!! You can not top that . That makes everything we do on Wednesday night worth it . The leaders are smiling the parents are smiling and crying with joy . This tells me two things , we are serving a AWESOME GOD and he is still in the business of saving lives .

I can say there is not a better moment when your child comes to you and says " I want to make Jesus the boss of my life " . I am telling you that is Awesome !!! The parents of this young man was proud . What a great week ! Maybe something great like that will happen on Sunday . I hope to see you all there .

I would like take the time time to say thank you to John and Angel . I set back and think where would our class be without the two of them . I am not sure why Tony decided to step down but i am sure he felt like that is what God was leading him to do . We were uncertain where our class was headed . None of us are teachers besides Phillip . So we did what all good Christians do we just prayed about the future of our class . We were told they might want to teach our class . Then we got the word they had decided to teach our class . I had never meet John before so i was unsure . After meeting John i knew God had truly blessed our class .

A few weeks past i got to know John a little better and our friendship began to grow . I realize John and Angel are a perfect fit for our class . John is a great guy . He is a guy you can go and talk to and you feel like he understands you . This is a guy who will be there through thick and thin .You gotta watch Angel ! No , I am just kidding she is a great woman . I also want to say they have great kids . The whole family has been a blessing to my family .

I would also like to say thanks to Doug and Ann , Scott and Allison . I have really enjoyed getting to know you guys . It is nice to see new couples in class and building new friendships . Hey , Doug and Scott you guys could be apart of the Lead Slingers Deer Camp . Thank you guys for for choosing our class .

This is just kinda a vent for me . Yesterday was a beautiful day so there was people out riding their bikes . Now the vent starts !!!! It drives Dena and me crazy when we are driving down a road and the speed limit is 45 and you have to drive 15 because the bikes are riding own the road . This was over by Wells Lake .There is a brand new five foot sidewalk they could be riding on and they choose to ride on the road and slow down traffic . Here is what i have to say to those that ride their bike in the middle of the road where you can not get around them . Get out of the way !!!!!!!! If you want the right to ride down the middle of the road go register your bike , start paying taxes on it , and obeying the traffic laws . I understand if the road you are riding on does not have a sidewalk or shoulder . If the road you choose to ride on has a shoulder use it when you hear a car behind you . Hey, bikes get out of the way . Note to all bike riders there are plenty of trails to ride on in the woods . Find One!!!!!!!!!

New Year

I wanted to get this started by saying THANK YOU to John and Angel . I am very thankful that they decided to take over our Sunday School Class . I am very thankful we have a guy like Jessi to plan everything for us . I am very thankful for everybody else for the friendships we have built and are building . What a great group of people God has given me the privilege to know . I wish everybody a HAPPY New Year .

We had a great time @ the party Wednesday . We started it with John asking the blessing on the food and the fun began . One of the most important things @ a party is the food . There was plenty of that and it was good . The guys set in the den and watched a little football while we ate . The ladies set in the kitchen and talked about what great husbands they have . The kids kinda just ran around and having a good time . Our house has been child proofed .

Now after we ate Jeb , Jessi , and John brought controllers and Wii Golf . The guys took turns playing . Jeb owns the game so he was the Pro @ this game . This was a lot of fun . You hit the ball and if the ball goes the wrong direction you just shake your Wii and try to get the ball headed in the right direction . What a deal !!!!!! Can you imagine having something like that in real golf ? That would be fun to watch . I can picture this , Jeb hitting the ball and the ball starts to hook so he starts spinning his club the other direction to try and get it to land where he would like for it to land . That would be funny watching people play golf if that actually worked . If it did work i might be able to play .

While all this was taking place the ladies were sitting around the table talking about what great husbands they have . I am not sure what they were talking about but they looked like they were having a good time . Hey, guys this does not sound good for us . The ladies set around talking about what great husbands they have and we were off eating , watching football , and playing Wii . I will pray for us .

We also played the newly wed game . I am proud to say that John and Staci won . Here is some good news , Jeb and Shelli did not finish last . That tells me Jeb does listen a little . This should have earned Jeb some brownie points . I would like to say this Staci 's faced turned red on a couple of questions ( you can ask her for more info) . This was pretty funny and i hope everybody enjoyed .

Jeb , Shelli , Jana , Jason , Dena , and myself played a game called battle of the sexes . This is a board game and the men get asked questions that women should know the answer and the women get ask the questions men should know the answer . We played this until 1:30 and that is how the party ended .

I would like to take the time to thank all of you that came .Thanks for all the wonderful food that was brought and thank you for a wonderful time of fellowship . God has truly blessed our class . We have a wonderful group and we owe God for that . I believe he puts people in certain places @ certain times for certain reasons . I can see this class really growing close . God Is Wonderful !!!! I wish everybody could have been there but i understand it is tuff getting everybody together @ the same time .

Trophy Wife

Man can you imagine having a title like trophy wife . That would be nice for all you women . Here is what you get with being a trophy wife . You do not have to cook , clean , you get to sleep until 11:00 or so , your husband does all the cooking , all the cleaning ,and watch other women cook and clean . This would be the life . I consider my wife a trophy and real lucky to have her . I can not say enough good things about my wife . I am very thankful she does not mind helping around the house . I am not sure how you get that title . Someone will have to find one of these Trophy Wives and ask how they gain this title .

I am sure all the men would agree with me , when i say my wife is a trophy . I am also sure they would say they are very thankful for their wives and everything they do . I am a firm believer that the women is what makes the home a good one .Thanks to all the moms !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I meet a couple of guys each morning for some type of exercise . This one guy (i am not going to call any name ) has a key to the old old gym . When it is cold out or we just do not want to walk we go to the gym and attempt basketball or something like it . Well this one cold morning we all agreed to play basketball because it was 27 degrees outside . Jeb and i show up at this guys house with our shorts on and ready to play basketball . We do not see any lights on in the house , so we waited 5 or 10 minutes and then we gave up . We decided we would go and have some biscuits and gravy . What a deal exercise or biscuits and gravy . Please leave some type of comment on what you might think about a guy that would do that to a super guy like Jeb ( i can understand standing me up ) . I really can not say anything this guy is the one who was with me when i nearly fell out of the tree . I will say this he is a super guy and it is a pleasure knowing him .

The Craziness Is Over

I hope everybody had a great time during the Christmas Holiday . I enjoy the time off and the look on the kids face while they are opening their gifts . I also enjoy seeing people you have not seen in a while . It just wears me out going to over to eat and then running over here to eat and then running over there to eat . I do like to eat but this is to much eating and to much running . I am glad this craziness is over .

I know God really blessed my family . We had a great Christmas ! Dena and I both still have our jobs and no one in the family is sick . I would say we are blessed just based on those two things . I think the girls got most of what they wanted and then some . My wife got me a new watch and it is cool . This watch will keep me from turning on the TV to check the weather . We really had a great Christmas .

Time to get back to work and get our regular routine going again .

Man , my friend Phillip was on a roll this weekend . He made me Pee a little and i do not think i was alone . I believe the whole class was laughing at him . I just want to tell one thing . He threw some corn in is backyard for the deer . Then a little while later he asked Kelly why would someone plant corn in our backyard . I guess you can figure out the rest of the story . It was the corn Phillip through out . Thanks Phillip for all the laughs ,your are a great guy .

We also played dirty Santa . Let me say this there were some Dirty Santa . Jeb stole my mug ,John stole my movies ,and Doug stole my deer cane ( Kelly , Phillips lovely wife thought you could drink this ) . Not sure about the whole Kelly statement ,i think i heard someone say that . Let me say thanks to Mike and Jessi for not stealing any of my goods . Mike did steal from my wife . What a great time . Thanks to the Winters for opening there house for us . Thanks to Jessi for planning all the fellowships . We had a great time , i could have stayed there all night visiting with these guys . Now would that not be something , Jackie Dolan for mayor . How many people would laugh if i started putting up signs . I really could not run for mayor even if i wanted to . If i did do something like that i would not have any supporters other than the few friends i have . I still think it would be funny . Hey , that might be what a guy needs to be Mayor of Greenwood . List all the bad things you have done instead of the good things and then once you get elected continue your law breaking ways . Hey, i am going to run for mayor . I almost have all the qualifications to be mayor . I have not been out taking signs or stealing money from old ladies . I have not had my truck hauled off by the Repo guy . I do not plan on doing either one of these . I think my brother in law who works for a clothing company is going to rent the current mayor new uniforms . They are going to Orange Jump Suits for the first two days of the week and Black and White for the last three . The Girls

I have two very wonderful girls . Dena had choir practice last night . Me and the girls just kinda hung out at the house . It was a great night we did not have to rush around at all . I set back and watched the two of them play . Allie is a great big sister . Some of you may know Keelie can be a pain . Some how that does not affect Allie she just goes on and has fun . It would have been nice if Dena could have been home with us . Most nights we are rushing around trying to finish up homework ,get a bath ,and get ready for bed . It is nice to just sit back and enjoy your kids . We all better enjoy them while we can . We know some day they will think staying home with us is not so fun . I would like to throw this out there for fun . Allie takes after her dad and Keelie takes after her mom . I know all of you would agree with that statement,Right!!!!

Who thinks that Florida will be our next National Champs ? Tell me your thoughts about this game . The Sooners better enjoy beating up on the Big 12 teams . I know this sounds like i am not a Sooner fan but i am . It gets old watching them make it to a bowl and lose year after year after year .Chuck once won a national championship by himself .The other team did not show up.

Sooners win another big 12 title . I am pretty sure they will lose their 4th straight bowl game . I really hope they win . I hope it is a close game that the Big D wins . If that happens maybe somebody will hire Brent as a head coach . We all now the Sooners can put up points and we also know the D ALLOWS POINTS . I would love to Brent get a coaching job in the big 12 . Can you imagine the Sooners playing against Brent's D . I was going to tell my whole story but i decided i did not want to make this a five or six day blog . Well , my dad was in and out of prison for drugs and theft . he told me several different times he was going to change i never believed the guy for one moment . He wanted me to call him dad . I said to him a dad does not leave his kid at the hospital . When he would get out of prison he would call my grandparents and tell them he was done , he never did or will . Once i got married and had kids he tried calling and wanted to come see his grand kids . I told him i was not his son because he had not been a father to me and i was not going to put my kids through the same thing i went through . I am not real sure what i will tell them if they ever ask . I ask him to do us all a big favor and forget us . I know that is not the right thing to do but it is the best for my family .

My mom i am not sure about . I never met her until i was thirteen . I believe this is because of her husband . I believe he is the one that wanted to get to know me . We have a friend relationship well, i do want to say its that good . We see each other during the holidays . I had to call on her when i was 15 because my grandpa had cancer and my grandparents were at the hospital a lot . Once my grandpa past on my grandma was back home i moved back in with her .

My grandma past away two months after i got out of school . I was trying to go to collage and work at the tire shop in Greenwood and they told me things were slow and they had to let me go . i was also kicked out of the house i was living in . My uncle told me i could live in his garage till i found something better. This was not so bad during the summer . When it got called i got cold .

So went for a interview with this company called Argco and met this man Tom Stoddard . He gave me a job and some 17 years later i am still working for him . A couple of weeks after i had worked there he ask where i lived and i told him . He suggested i could stay at work in one of the storage closets ( it was a 10 x 10 HEATED ROOM ) . Then i moved in with one of my friends and his parents . Then i moved in with the guy we all know and love Jeb .

I met my wife and we started going out and she started inviting me to church . I was going but not real sure i was getting anything out of it . Then they hired a preacher (Bart Baker ). This guy presented the word of God so that i wanted to pay attention . I can not say thanks enough to my wife for taking me to church while were dating .

Now that we are married and have 2 wonderful kids no body has to invite us to church . God put Dena in my life for a reason . He knew all the bad things i had done and was doing . So i am going to have to say Thank you Dena for not giving up on me and thank you God for forgiving me of my sins . I hope nobody thinks this is a bunch of lies because this is all 100 % true . This just shows that God is watching over us and can save anyone .Invite a friend to church and tell somebody your story it might be what they need to hear . Thank you Phillip, Mike , and Jeb for your comments .

Day Two

I am not writing this to make anybody feel sorry for me . I believe the people that know me knows that i am not doing this in hopes that someone will feel sorry for me . The reason i am doing this is because somebody my going through rough a rough time right now and they might be able to relate to my story and see there is good news . There might be someone out there that is questioning can God really save someone like me . I going to tell you God can save anyone .

I can remember one of my friends if i wanted to play little league football . I said i would love to play football . I went home from school that day and told my grandparents i wanted to play football and my grandpa said is this going to cost anything and if so who is going to pay for it and how do you plan on getting to and from practice and the games . I am not real sure who paid for everything but that side of it got taken care of . Then a neighbor said he would take me to practice and bring me home . My grandpa said he would go a long with this plan as long as it want effect my school work . I worked really hard at keeping my grades up because i really loved the game of football . This was a way for me to get out there and hit somebody without getting in trouble . My first year they had me play O line and i did not really like that . I finally ask coach if i could try and be the running back and he told me his son Ricky was the running back . I remember telling him that i could run over Rick and out run him . Long story short he gave me that chance i was looking for and needless to say i never played on the O line again . They even let me play linebacker . Football really kept my mind off other things going on in my life that i had questions about .

My grandparents never attended one game or one practice . My grandpa did not really want me doing it so he sure was not going to support it . They never came to anything sports related my whole life . I played football , basketball , baseball, and ran track . He thought that the time i was spending at practice i could be at home doing work . I would like to thank everybody that hauled me around to practice and took me to all the games .

When i was ten we moved into town . This was during the summer so baseball going on . I decided that i wanted to try my luck at baseball . SO , my grandma signed me up for baseball . I was lucky i lived close enough to the school i could walk to all the practices . I really enjoyed playing baseball he gave me something to do during the summer . We never had enough money to go any vacation . i never even herd that word growing up and i was fine with it . Well , you get the point i am trying to make about my grandpa and sports . I will spare you the pain of basketball and track .

I remember wanting to be that popular guy in the 6 Th grade . I wanted name brand cloths i wanted all the new things all the other kids had . We could not afford this things and there were kids that got made fun of because of the brand of clothing they had . I am not sure why i was not one of them . I had a lot of friends and i guess they did not care what kind of cloths i had . I really believe God has a plan for everybody and puts people in certain places at certain times to touch others . I am very thankful for everybody that God placed in my life .

The Story Begins

It all started on 7/26/1972 @8:06 P.M. . I weighed in @ a fat 9.4 lbs. with little hair ( not a lot has changed ) . On just my third day in this world my mom and dad decided that they did not want me . That turned out to be a blessing to me . I am not sure why they left me nor do i care , i am just glad they did . My grandma and grandpa Cantrell decided they would bring me home .They already had raised 7 kids of their own and still had two @ home . I was the 10th kid they raised . They did not have a lot of money but they had plenty of love . I know the money side was tough . My grandpa would do just about any job to make extra money . These were two wonderful people who taught me a lot about life .

I think the first time i ask about who my mom and dad was i was around 4 . I remember my grandpa telling me who my mom and dad are and they were sure that they loved me . I asked this question " then why did they leave me " . He was not sure why they had left me but he continued telling me that he was sure they loved me .Still today i am not buying that whole story . I know that is the right thing to tell a child but the fact is we all love our kids and would not leave them and hope somebody takes them home . Leaving a child is not the way to show them that you love them . I am sure i had more questions but i can not remember a lot from when i was four .

I remember my first year of school was really tough . My grandparents had not adopted me or anything like that . The school was wanting to know who had custody and who was responsible for me . So they had issues getting me started in school . Their last name was Cantrell and mine was Dolan that confused me as a child . There were kids who said man your parents are really old and i remember telling them that they were my grandparents and mom and dad . Sounds a little confusing .Well, the first part of my life was .

I started this whole thing writing about deer hunting and that lead to writing about everything . The gun season has came to a end and so has the rut . I wish all my friends could have got a deer this season . Phillip shot his first deer this weekend but he could not find it . Sorry about that Phillip !!! I had a pretty good season this year and i have nothing to complain about . We had a lot of fun at our first annual Gun Slinger Deer Camp . We have a real great group of guys . We are looking for a lease or maybe a different place to camp next year . Keep your ears open and ask everybody if they know where we could hunt . I am open for any suggestions .

I would like to take this chance to say thank you to all my friends . We have a great group in our Sunday school class . I would like to invite everybody to our class @ 10:45 Sunday @ the rock room 202 . We will be blessed to have you .

Be Thankful

I have a lot to be thankful for but there are times i think i have it bad . I was told by several different people no matter how bad hit gets there is someone else who has it just a little worse. I take the approach that my family is healthy i am able to get out of bed and walk , run , see , and , hear . I have a roof over my head and by no means going hungry . I live in a country where i can stand up for the things i believe . I am not sure how much longer our government is going to allow us to say the word God .

Let me say this about God . He is the king of Kings , our creator , he can heel you of anything , he gives blessings every day , he gave his one and only son for our sins , and created this place we all live called earth . Not to mentions the the founders of our government based the laws on Gods words . Yeah, lets take the word God out of everything . If you will look back in history you will see when this country started heading south ( when we started taking the word of God out of things ) .

It kinda amazes me the amount of people who say that they do not believe in God . Let something bad happen to them and see who they are talking to what they are asking people to do for them . They might even come to church . So i say this to all the non believers in this world you know deep down you believe there is a God . Stop fighting it come to church and learn about our creator , you will be blessed .

The votes are in and Phillip Darr is the champion . This is the first time ever that a write in has won this award . Phillip won this running away ,sorry all you famous guys . Philip you have just won your self a round trip to the Sonic and your choice of any Route 44 drink you choose . Sometimes it pays to be a baaad man .

I have another question for guys and gals . I am not going to call any names in this whole story . There is a couple that was members of our Sunday School class that have a issue . I am worried about the father and son . The lady of the house really struggles with cooking . I am worried that the father and son could go hungry if any thing ever happened to their family . Let me tell you a few stories and see what you think . Just the other day her mom prepared everything that goes onto a club sandwich and she had to ask her sister and mom how to make a club sandwich . Just last night her husband and son had to run over to her sisters house and get some gravy from a package (the sister prepared the gravy ) because she burnt hers . There are many more stories i could tell but i think those two makes the point . One other thing i would like to mention is it a bad thing when the father and son starts their bed time prayer with Dear God Thank You For Fast Food and Family members cooking . The husband is a pretty good cook i might add . When he gets home after a 12 hour day and cleaning the garage (they keep their puppy in) ,doing the laundry,cleaning the house ,and giving their son a bath he is just to tired to cook . Should we buy her basic cook books or should they just stick with Microwave meals ? I guess he loves his wife as Jesus loved the church and then some if that is possible (i do not think it is possible but sounded good when i thought it ) . I am not going to get into tjhat whole submit thing again . I do not want to upset any of the guys .

Guys and Gals i have known Jeb for a long time . I am not real sure exactly how long . We called off the meeting at the town square @ high noon on Saturday and decided we would just continue meeting @ church on Sunday and Wednesday . Jeb made the statement that he wanted to be a hero the other day and i know we were all having a little fun with the whole thing . Let me tell you this guy is a hero just like many of you reading this blog . Yes, he was picked on when we were younger and had more hair but everybody still liked Jebber . This is a guy willing to donate his time to help others even if it means putting something he wants on the back burner for a while . He takes his kids to church ,teaches them about God ,loves his kids and wife ,he teaches other peoples kids about God on Wednesday nights,fills in for others on Sunday when they are gone, member of the Air National Guard (all our soldiers should be looked @ as Hero's),he helps coach Mason's teams , helps with Upward , and he painted Allie some H.M. guitars on her wall . I thank Jeb for doing that for me and her . She really loves it . I believe it is the little things that makes people hero's.

Hey , i went and had lunch with Allie the other day and i thought for a minute that had made a wrong turn . I mean is this a school or a Marine boot camp . The kids can not talk they can not even look around . This is what i heard while i was there .If your mouth is a moving you had better be chewing . If you are finished eating put your head down and keep your mouth closed .Give me a break i know we can not let them be out of control but News Flash they are kids . I can not wait for a new millage stating the school needs more money so they can buy orange jump suits for the kids and put barbed wire around the top of the fence at the play ground . Allie is in the first grade and she brings home work that i was not doing until the fourth grade . I know we all want are kids to have the best education but i believe there is a point we got to let them be kids . Has anybody took a look at what kids are doing now days . They bringing guns to school shooting people and killing themselves . I am not saying any of our kids are going to do this because they all have good home lives . Can you imagine if the kid only looked forward to school because he had a bad home life . Just for the record i am not upset over bad grades . Allie is doing great in school and loves it . I just realized the other day how much things had changed at the schools . Let me say this all the teachers that i know and have met are really good people and they have to follow rules also . So remember if you ever go to Westwood for lunch be sure that you keep it down . Kids need to be kids not soldiers . Attention or is that Detention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Greenwood's Mayor might need one of the orange jump suits !!!!!!!!

I am a little confused . Imagine that !!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not see how people can say that they believe in God but they do not believe everything in the Bible . I need someone to explain that to me . To me you can not straddle the fence . You are either on the side of the Bible or your not . This is what i struggle with . I do not understand how you come to church and then say you do not believe everything in the Bible . I like to pick on Jana about the words submit to your husband . That is just a little fun thing we have going . I know she believes in the Bible from front to back . It is still in there wives submit to your husband . I like to throw that out there when the guys are needing something or wanting something it makes for a great conversation between men and women . Just for the record i believe a marriage is a 100% and 100% relationship . Both must give their all to make a great marriage . God , please have mercy on this country . I get tired of seeing all these different types of pro test . These same sex marriage pro test are growing more and more here in the Bible Belt and that saddens me . I pray father that you would touch these peoples lives in some way . I pray for our leaders of this country . I pray that you would give them wisdom . I pray for our soldiers and for the families of soldiers who died fighting for this country . I pray that people who say this country is in bad shape steps back and realizes when we started taking your name out is when things started going bad . I pray that you might use me in some way . I pray that you would be with me in my struggles and that i will stay true to your ever word . I pray that you keep your hand over my family . I pray for each and ever person in my Sunday School Class they all have been a blessing . I pray for those who are having problems with their jobs . I thank you for each and ever blessing and for your son who died on that cross for my sins . Thank you for sending someone to tell me about you . Be Careful

We should all be careful who we trust . I received a knife in the back this week . I had the opportunity to stab him in the back and chose not to . I guess we need to change do unto others as you would have them do to you . We need to change that to do unto others before they stab you in the back . I learned a little this week about a certain person and now i have to move on . We should only trust in God,our family and close friends . Better watch out for the Dolan side of my family .

I know we are supposed to try and see the good in everybody but with a knife in your back it is kinda tuff . Sometimes it does not pay to do the right thing here on earth but we all will be rewarded in heaven . I believe our main goal is to here these words Well done my good and faithful servant inter into my kingdom . It is tuff for me to forgive and forget so i will be needing those prayers . I am more like i will get you back kinda guy and i know that is not what God wants from me . It is not always easy following Gods word .

I went to church last night and seen a lot of kids running around and playing . Then once we got started on our lesson most of them were paying attention and was trying to learn what was being taught . I am not sure how many kids attend our church but i do know God has blessed our church with kids . It does me a world of good to see Allie and all the other kids K - 4 sitting out there watching a video and learning about Gods word . I really enjoy telling these kids about Gods word and joking around with them . These kids are our future and we need to make sure that they know Gods word and they are proud to be a christian . I really think that times are going to be really tough when our kids grow(i am still trying to talk Alli into staying seven) .

Hump Day

I am glad it is Wednesday and the weekend can not get here fast enough . I am off the rest of this month so i guess it does not matter when the weekend gets here . Who said we had to work 5 days and off 2 . I wish we could have met in the middle or at least close to the middle . How nice would it be to work 4 and be off 3 every week ? I am not talking 4 ten hour days i am talking 4 eight hour days . I would like to meet the person who decided a work week was 40 hours . I know there are very few people who just works 40 hours . Most people work 45 to 50 hours a week . What would we do with all that extra time if we only worked 4 days a week ? I can think of a lot of things and i am sure you can too.

Hey , we are in the middle of hunting season and Thanksgiving is not that far away . Going hunting and eating well are two things i really enjoy doing . Not a whole lot on my mind this morning . I know what some of you are thinking , you got to have a mind before you can have something on it . You know you were thinking it !!!!!

What A Good Time

I do not know where to start . I will start with saying thanks to everybody that came to the Lead Slingers first annual deer camp ( Mike, Jessi, Jeb, John , Randy , Phillip , Jason ,Clarance, Conner(hunter) , Conner ,Mason, and John (Mike's dad) . We had a good time and plan on doing it again next year . We ate well and the kids had a good time and that is what is important . I hope we can get a few more kids there next year .

We did not kill any deer this year . The only lead we slung was at a poor empty soda can . I would like to report that we have some pretty good shots in this camp . Conner ( hunter), Mike, and John were the only three to shoot at the can and i am glad to report they all hit it . We seen several deer manly doe a couple of small bucks . We had deer steak ,beans,and potato for supper Saturday night . Jeb was our camp cook,Thank You Jeb . The kids all had fun playing in the fire ( no one got hurt) .

Now here are just a few things just off the wall . We had a white tent set up and Phillip wanted to know if that was a piece of the ice berg that the Titanic hit . We listened to the Greenwood and alma game Friday and part of the Arkansas game Saturday and then Jessi's truck battery went dead . Jason made very interesting loading his four wheeler . Dry cedar burns faster than gas . We went through a lot of cedar Friday night and then we cut some real wood Saturday . I think a few people even pooped in the woods . Can i say pooped???????? Long story short we all had a great time . Thanks to all the wives who stayed at home and took care of the kids . Say a prayer for Keelie she has not been feeling so good .

Hey , i wanted to let everyone know that my mother in-law fixed me breakfast last night for supper . She fixed biscuits , gravy , ham , and pancakes . What a great mother in -law !!! Guy's we need to be very thankful for mother in-laws that love to help their kids . There are parents out there that really believe when you leave their house you are on your on and their part of being your parent is over with . I hope that all made since . What i am trying to say here this morning i believe i have the greatest and loving mother in-law and i do not mind letting everybody know . If there were more mothers like Nita this world would be a better place . She must have learned this from someone . That someone would be her mom . Nita passed her loving and caring on to her daughters . Thank YOU Nita for everything . God has blessed me !!!!!

Man i can not say enough about this family . I would have to sit here all morning if i wanted to let you know what a wonderful family they are . I would like to say Thank You Gran for everything you do for me and the girls . Keelie my youngest daughter can not get enough of her gran and pa pa . I will stick with the women today . If i get started on the men ,i will never leave here . I would also like to say that Jana is good sister in -law . I say this because she has my little buddy Cameron . No , that is not the only reason . She is just like the rest of the women in this family . She is there for you when you need somebody and always has what is best for others on her mind . Jana is still in the process of learning how to cook like the other three but Jason and Cameron are not going hungry . Just kidding , we always tease her about not being able to cook . Thank You Jana !!!

I would like to say what a wonderful wife i have . I have NO complaints about her . She is truly the best wife a man could have ( sorry guys she is #1) . I know this because she has put up with me for about 13 years ( she has to be a good women ) . She always puts the girls and me before her self . You will never hear her complain about anything . She only speaks encouraging words . She is proof there is a God because he knew what i needed and blessed me with the best wife . I am not sure the words Thank You are strong enough . It seems like i love her more and more each day . We have a wonderful marriage and i thank God for her every day .What a Blessing she is !!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You , I LOVE YOU , and YOU ARE THE BEST

Lets get this thing started !! Deer camp starts to night . We are going to have a good time . Jessi,John,Conner(AKA Hunter),Mike, and I went to wal-mart last night and bought some grub for camp . John , Mike , and Bob came over and sighted their guns in last night . Randy , Clarance , Jason ,my little buddy , and my self went and got ice for the food . I believe that Jeb and Phillip are coming down for supper Saturday night . What a great group of guys . I better get off here and head to work . I told myself i was not going to vent this morning but i decided it would be better than keeping it all in . I was disappointed when i found out who our next president would be ( i wanted to cry). I went to bed and prayed for our country . I have not figured out how 90 percent of the people say they believe in God yet we can put a guy in office who believes in abortion and allowing jimmy to marry timmy instead of jack marring jill. He wants to take from the people who has worked hard to make a better life for themselves and give to those who are sucking the welfare system dry . If you think about it this is the people who went out and voted for him along with the really rich and really dumb people in this country . Do not want to make this personal with anybody , I just can not see any reason to vote for this guy unless you are on welfare or to lazy to work . Hey ,great idea we can raise the amount we pay people on welfare . This would give them a better reason to stay at home instead of going out and looking for a job or making more babies for the working people to pay for . If you want to look at it like the next president you can run down and have it aborted . This guy is going to give you changes but not the one's you want .

Hey , we are going to deer camp this weekend and shoot our Guns (I hope) . We will officially start the Lead Slingers Deer Camp 11/07/08 . Mike and I are taking off Friday so we can go down and set up camp . This will be a lot of fun . John is going to bring his son Conner this is always nice to see a father and son enjoying the great outdoors . We are having deer steak Saturday night and i believe someone is going to bring chili (not sure about the chili) . We are going to well have fun and hopefully shot some deer . I might send a picture of me shooting my gun to the soon to be president so he can see how much fun i have doing it . Enjoy life while you can . I am going to grab my stupid backpack and go somewhere .

Keelie will be turning two tomorrow . Time seemed to drag by and then you have kids and they grow up really fast . There are days i just wonder how did Allie get this big . Did i sleep a couple of years . I usually run from one thing to another , but not lately. I really enjoy just going out in the yard and playing with the girls . It is tough at times because you got to keep a close eye on Keelie . Allie kinda does her own thing or swings with Kellie . Kids are a lot of fun enjoy them while they are young because someday they will not think spending time with mom and dad is so important . God bless are kids!!!!

Here is something to think about . Take the time and think about how things have changed for the worse. Can you imagine how it will be for our kids ? I kinda feel sorry for them already . It just blows my mind how some people think . I try to see their side ( sometimes ) . Our kids are missing out because of all the Stupid people in this world today . We can not let are kids ride their bikes down the road , go down to the park , run through the woods by themselves and so on . I do not remember ever having the conversation about not talking to strangers . Now there are people who want hurt little kids and even kill them without any reason( like somebody running for president ) .

I WONDER IF ( AND I SURE HOPE AND PRAY NOT ) OBOMA WINS AND LATER ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DECIDE WE MADE A MISTAKE , WHAT WOULD HE SAY WE SHOULD DO. He said he would like for his daughter to have a choice if she ever made a mistake . I would like to say this ,i do not want to see him get killed just like i do not want little baby's to be killed . I hope i did not go to far this morning or is that mourning if he wins .

I am waiting for the Sooners to fire their Defensive Coordinator or hoping might be a better word .

The weather is getting cold it is time to be bold . The election is near and Oboma's views are clear . Do not hesitate if you make a mistake , kill the unborn baby and you can be a non pregnant lady . His faith is very clear when times are tough i am a muslim ,he said without a tear . I will choose the questions you ask because the tough ones might be a task .

Here is the way i see it . The guy has been confused on what type of religion he his . What makes people think he can be in the White House and not be confused ? I would have had more respect for the guy ,if he would have said i am a muslim at the very beginning . That proves to me he just says what he thinks people want to hear . His slogan his all about Change . If he wins that is going to be all we have ( in the bank) . I am going to quit before i really get started . I think everybody knows how i feel and what is important to me . My friend Mike said that this country does not deserve Gods mercy and i agree with him 100% . Pray for this country and all of our voters . I am going to grab that stupid backpack and head to another subject .

The big day is just a little over a week away . The opening day of gun season starts 11/08/08 .I believe this season will be a good one . I have seen several bucks this year . I have had several others tell me that they are seeing more deer this year . I am ready it has been awhile since we had a real deer camp . Sleeping on the ground in the cold , building a camp fire ,hanging out with a great group of guys , and going to the bathroom in the woods . I have a question what did the deer do that made us go this crazy about killing them ( i borrowed this question from Jason) .

My friend Phillip left me a message that really made me think . We should all take a real good look at all the freedom we have . However ,it seems like we are losing a few . Let me list a few that are important to me . I am very thankful that i get to choose the church that i attend . I am very thankful for the freedom of speech (thanks Phillip) .I f it was not for freedom of speech i would not be sitting here writing . I am thankful i have the right to purchase guns .

Here is the stuff that might step on someones toes ( i hope not) . I believe the reason are country is headed in the wrong direction is because we all have changed the way we should think . It does not matter who wins the election . What matters is the people of The United States just sitting back and accepting all these changes. i believe we are now paying for the hippy days .The hippys were all about peace .They did not want to make anybody mad . These are the people who are in office today. Everybody needs to stand up for what they believe in . When we started taking God out of everything was really when all this mess started . If you will look at The Ten Commandments and then look at the laws of this country you can see what our original leaders had in mind . I can promise you it was not taking God out of everything . It was not gay marriages and it was not allowing women who became pregnant to run down to the DR. Office and say hey, i do do not want this baby . The Dr. says, ok come in and i will take care of that for you . No matter how you look at this it is murder and it is WRONG . There are people on waiting list to adopt a child . When you have people saying these things are ok that is when you know your country is in Bad shape . You can not tell me people were supposed to be gay . If men were supposed to be with men and women with women they would be able to reproduce. These things really are important issues to me . Please pray for this country and everybody in it . We need God in this country we need prayer in this country .

I am going to write this one word and someone will know what i am talking about . The word is submit . Do not forget this word is in the Bible . Just for the record this is not for my wife . I am just going to ramble a little this morning . We went to the cabin this weekend i believe we all had a good time . I seen a few deer but no big one . Jessi and Mike did not see any . Conner had to go home Saturday he was feeling very well . I have not spoke to Mike to see how he is doing . I almost had a heart attack . I almost got bit by a rattle snake . I think i may have peed a little . Jessi it not believe me at first . When he seen and heard it rattle he was a believer . Long story short we had a good time .

It was nice to get home to my three girls . The girls could not wait for me to get home so we could play . I really miss them when i am gone . One night is not so bad but more than that is tough . My wife ask when i was going back . No ,i am just kidding . She said she was ready for me to get home also .

We are having a deer camp(Lead Slingers) at MT. Magazine on the 11/8/08 .If you would like to go give me a call @ 252-0166 or 996-1230 .We plan on having a lot of fun .Remember invite a friend to church .

Hey , I want to thank you guys who left comments and taking the time to read my blogs . Phillip left a comment on one of the blogs . Now about Phillip ,he is a really outstanding guy . He knows just about anything when comes to sports . His speciality his making people laugh and smile . A real super guy .His brother owns Mad Pizza in Rogers a must . I will drive anytime someone wants to try it . His brother Mark is a real nice guy .You rally need to try it . Jeb , Jessi , Mike , Phillip , John C. , John M. ,Tim B. , and TIM . These are the guys in my sunday school class( life group if you will) . This is a real great group of guys that really get a long and have a lot of together . If you are not attending a sunday school class come see us at 10:45 room 202 at the rock . We have a great group of women also .

Jessi , Mike , Conner( mikes son) , and myself are going hunting this weekend . We plan on having a lot of fun . I think it is awesome to see mike and his son together in the great outdoors . Jessi and i only have girls . I am not complaining because i would not trade either one of my girls . I will probably miss a few days . What has this world became .Here are the things that i am a little confused about . Please help me !!!!!!! Some places are now allowing same sex marriages . How Stupid is that ?? Yes, i used the word stupid to describe some politician . I am not saying they all are stupid . I KNOW A FEW THAT ARE PRETTY GOOD GUYS . You actually have people accepting this . We have people at our church trying to say we should accept this . My good friend Jeb ( i am going bald) Baldwin got in a pretty heated discussion with her about this matter . That is what i like to see ,people who are going to stand up for what is right . We need more people to stand up like that . If people would have took a stand early maybe we would not be in the mes we are in . Here are some of the reason you should elect obomba for president . Just for the record i know i spelled his name wrong . Now back to the subject . He has a pretty smile , we need a change ,he is not Republican , he has not been in politics long enough to have been corrupted by the old guys , i am tired of the way things are being run , and my favorite one is simply because he is a Democrat . Here is what i have to say to all the God believers in this world . The guy is a killer and anybody who votes for him might as well be one also . The guy votes for abortion and partial birth abortion . That is without any question 100 percent killing of a very beautiful thing God gave us . I am going to move on before i really get fired up . We are giving money to companies who did not run their companies properly . Kinda makes me want to open my own business
Hey, i did hear Greenwood mayor ken edwards was out picking up trash yesterday . The only thing he was missing was his ORANGE jump suit . This is a town ready for a change .

Now for some good things . My wife's Granny ( mine also i adopted her) cooks lunch for us every Sunday after CHURCH . The whole family meets there and has lunch together . Thank you Gran !!!!!! My youngest daughter absolutely loves hanging out with her . I can not say enough good things about Gran . If i tried i would be here all day . She will help with anything she can . Tom (grans husband) this is one cool guy . He will also do anything for you . He is as sharp as a tack . He can fix just about anything . What a great guy!!!

Hey buddy Mike is back and we are supposed to go hunting this weekend . He brought the guys who helped him a knife back from Spain .Thanks Mike !!!

I had brake issues on my truck last week . I thought i was going to have to take it to a dealer .The sound of that cost me 20 dollars . My friend Jessi knew Brian at Jim Grizzle Tire in Fort Smith and the brake guy (Gary) told me what was wrong with my brakes free of any charge .Thanks Jessi for everything !!!!!! Jessi is also going hunting this weekend . We all should have a lot of fun . Warning to all deer we are coming .

I want to take this time and say thanks to a few of the people who has helped me in this journey we call life .First i would like start by saying thanks to my grandma and grandpa who brought me home from the hospital after my mom and dad slid out the door . My wife for everything she has done for me and will do for me . I was on a straight road to no where and she turned me in the right direction . I would also like to thank her whole family and everything they do . My two Little girls for making my hair fall out (HA!! HA!!) . I would also say thanks to my friends . There are a few of my friends i believe i could go to and talked to them about anything and they would be ther for me and i would be ther for them . Thanks to everybody that has become part of my journey and allowing me to be apart of yours . Chuck Norris does not pay taxes he just sends the IRS a picture of himself .

I know last week i talked about the rut getting close ,i now believe it is here . I have talked to a lot of the local pros and they seem to agree . I always thought that the rut happened around the first new moon in November . I really believe that the rut is affected by cold spells .I know this is not what all the pros tell you on tv , but like the guys from Realtree Outdoors says " The Proof Is In The Pudding" . Jason ( my brother in -law) and I seen a Huge buck chasing a doe on our way to Mt Magazine last weekend . I have been keeping up with the time that people say they start seeing bucks chasing does for the past several years . What have found out is if there is a cold front in the middle of October people start seeing bucks chasing does .If there is not a clod front it usually happens in the last week of October . This is the info i received by talking to all the local hunters over the years . All the conditions are right ,so use those last vacation days or sick days and get in the woods .

Now , for the more part of this post . I am really tired of seeing all the negative stuff in the news paper about our community . Greenwood is really a nice place to live and I do not like it when i tell someone that I am from Greenwood and they start off by saying "that is the town where the mayor is always in the paper for something he has done wrong " . Is this really what the people of Greenwood want to be know for ? No, we would like to be known for being a friendly town , nice clean town ,town with great leadership ,and so on . Ken Edwards has NO RIGHT BEING A MAYOR . Here is what I know about the guy ,he can take care of his own finances (car getting repoed) , he has stolen money from elderly Lady's , he lost his right to practice law , and the latest thing stealing signs out of peoples yard . This is not what we want leading our town . He is a poor example of what we want Greenwood to know for . So do something, do not just sit back and let this low life run our down in the ground . I would like to touch on one thing about the whole stealing signs . I know by law he can remove signs from the right of way but not out of peoples yards . If i had the right to do something i sure what be doing it at two thirty in the morning in a friends car . Please tell a friend you are tired of all this and maybe they will tell a friend . If enough people get involved maybe we can make something happen . I have a stupid backpack i would give him ,if he would just pack up and leave town . Remember invite a friend to church this week and get in the outdoors as often as you can .

Today I am going to take time to wish my mother in-law (Nita) a big happy birthday . Let me tell you a little bit about her . She is a very wonderful ,helpful,loving ,caring ,considerate and so on . I really just ran out of words . There are more and better words to describe her . I would also like to Thank her for everything she does for me and the girls . I want to spend a little time telling you some of the things she does . She watches both are little girls during the day and when Keelie wants to go home with her at night without hesitation she says come on . If we need her to watch the girls during the weekend or early in the morning she is always there for us . When you need help with the computer or just help around the house she is there . I will never be able to to truly let you know what a wonderful mother in -law i have through my writings . I hope that everybody understands what i am trying to say about her . God has Blessed me with the Greatest mother in-law . Thank you Nita for everything and I hope you have a great day. Did i mention that she can cook up a mean breakfast (Hint) . HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Sometimes we do not take the time to thank others like we should . I know that i am going to start doing a better job . Sometimes a little thank you might be just what a person needs to hear to brighten there day .

This weekend was opening of the Arkansas deer muzzle loading season . The only time that I will get to hunt is opening morning . It seems to me that there is always something going on . I remember growing up and having time to go and visit people and just hang out at the house . I am not real sure what changed .We all know change is not always a good thing . Take a good look at the person who is saying we need to CHANGE "THE GREATEST COUNTRY" . I will not get started on that subject . I will say this morning me and my family are making time to go to church . This is something Everybody should make time for . If Everybody would make time to serve the Lord and follow his word I can promise you this country would not be in the shape it is in today .We sure would not have a muslim running for president . My computer wanted me to capitalize muslim ,not going to do it . Please invite a friend to church and pray for country and our soldiers .

I would like for everybody take time to say a prayer for my friend John and his family .His brother passed away this week .We all know it is tough when you lose someone you love .This was a kinda of all at once . His brother was 54 years old . Before I turned 36 i thought 54 was old .

I started this off by saying how fast pace our lives are but I want to finish on a good note . Last night our sunday school class had our October fellowship(Yes,i said sunday school class) . Our church has changed suday school class to " Life Group" . I am not going to call it that . This is a perfect example of something that did not need to change . I am sorry let me get back to finishing on a good note . My friend Jessi had a cook out at his house for all of us . I burnt hot dogs ate chili and threw marshmallows .That was a lot fun and I would like to thank for all the time and effort he and his family put in to this party . We where running around playing and throwing marshmallows with the kids at the kids and each other . This was something fun that the whole family could enjoy . If you can believe this we done all this without safety classes and nobody got hurt . Yes, I said we threw marshmallows at each other without safety classes and not one person was injured .

The good Lord blessed me with a opportunity to take a nice eight point buck . This was the first time i hunted this stand . I had got several pictures of bucks on my game camera at this stand but i could not get the right conditions to hunt it . The conditions were all good yesterday . I am going to borrow a line from the guy's on Realtree Outdoors ( The Proof Is In The pudding) . This bucks neck was starting to swell . I shot him at 8.20 AM yesterday morning with my bow .

I went to pick Alli up from school yesterday afternoon and ran into Mike my friend who had been in Spain for three months . He is a member of the 188TH Air Force Guard Unit . It was nice to get to visit with him . I know his family and friends are glad he is back .

P.S. I did not take the stupid back pack with me yesterday . I will let you in on the story about the backpack soon.

I could not make it any longer,i had to take a day off . Today should be a good day for the deer to be on the move . So this morning I am going to grab my bow and head to the woods . Any day Is a great day to be in the great outdoors and we all should take the time and thank GOD for his wonderful creation .

Hey guy's if you really want to get away with your wife let me recommend the longbow resort in Prim , Ar .This is more for the guy .There is really not a whole lot to do or places to go once you get there . This is a place to go and hang out and enjoy the view and enjoy the time with your wife . Dena and I went there a few years ago and really enjoyed ourselves .Well , I wish I had more time but it is time to head to the woods . Before I go I would like to say thank you to all my friends and family for all the good times and being there during the rough times .
